Lucile Randon used to be among the odlest people in Europe known not only for extremely long lifespan but also as one of the senior survivors of Covid-19. She was born in 1904 in Southern France and grew up in the family of her parents and her three siblings. In her youth she worked as a governess and later as a teacher in Versailles and in Paris. In the early 1940s she became a member of the Catholic Order Daughters of Charity, and in 1944 she took the name of Sister Andre. After the end of the World War II, she went on a mission to work in hospitals of France and look after patients, especially children and the elderly. The mission ended in the early 1960s but she continued working in hospitals until her retirement in 1979. In the early 1980s Lucile Randon was admitted to one of the establishments of the EHPAD where she continued looking after other patients until the age of 100. Later on she lived in a retirement home in Toulon and in the early 2020s suffered from the pandemic of Covid-19 surviving the disease and becoming the oldest person in the world who managed to overcome this disease.
