Courtney Love is an American singer, songwriter, and actress, who was a muse for Kurt Cobain. Born as Courtney Michelle Harrison in San Francisco, she spent her childhood in a commune and was raised by her mother, a doctor. In her high school times, she traveled a lot and visited the countries like Ireland and Japan. She started singing with various bands in her early 20s and in 1989 she formed a band named Hole, together with her boyfriend, Eric Erlandson. They released a few recordings, and their album Pretty On The Inside became quite successful. In 1992 Courtney married Kurt Cobain and became a mother of his daughter Frances. The marriage lasted for 2 years until the death of Cobain. Love continued her career as a singer with Hole and tried herself in acting with some notable roles of hers in the movies The People vs. Larry Flint (with Woody Harrelson), Man on the Moon (with Jim Carrey), etc. In the early 2000s, her band split and Courtney Love spent months and months recovering from her addictions and aggressive behavior. She released a few solo albums and wrote an autobiography book. In the late 2010s, she appeared in the FOX TV series Empire.
