Melanie Griffith is an American actress who is appreciated for her outstanding cinema and stage performances. She was born in 1957 in New York to the parents who had to do with acting. When Melanie was a child the family moved to LA where she started her acting career and appeared in her first movie in 1969. In the early 1970 Griffith took part in the movies The Harrad Experiment, Night Moves, and when she was 17 years old she got married to an actor Don Johnson, to divorce him shortly after. Other successful early works of Melanie include her roles in Joyride, Underground Aces, Body Double, Something Wild, Stormy Monday, and of course Working Girl opposite Sigourney Weaver and Harrison Ford. The latter role brought Melanie the Academy Award nomination. The last decade of the century was marked by Griffith by the roles in Pacific Heights, Shining Through (with Michael Douglas and Liam Neeson), Milk Honey (with Ed Harris), Mulholland Falls, Buffalo Girls, Lolita, Another Day In Paradise, RKO 281 (with John Malkovich), and "Cecil B. Demanded", with truly amazing lead role in the latter. Other notable performances of Melanie Griffith include The Night We Called It A Day (with Dennis Hopper), Tempo, Dark Tourist, Day Out of Days, etc. Griffith appeared in a large number of TV projects like Raising Hope, Nip/Tuck and others. She was married a few times including her marriage to Antonio Banderas, and she has 3 children, with one of her daughters, Dakota Johnson, being a popular actress too.
