Eminem (his real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers) is a top rate rapper, musician, songwriter, actor, and producer. He was born in 1972 in Missouri, in a family of two amateur musicians, who split almost right after the boy had been born. Marshall grew up in moving from one house to another, and his early youth he spent in Detroit, which had a very certain imprint on his life. It was a neighborhood dominated by black people who were quite hostile and aggressive towards the white people. Marshall was under the influence of his uncle Ronny, who implanted great love to rap and hip-hop music to the young boy. Marshall used to take part in so-called "freestyle battles" of rappers and became very experienced in creating songs and improvising as a rapper. In 1995 he became a father when his girlfriend Kim Scott bore a daughter Hailey. The couple was briefly married but split quite soon. Two first albums of Eminem, Soul Intent and Infinite did not bring much of success, but his third album Slim Shady has become really popular among young people who love hip-hop music. The album became platinum and brought Eminem 2 Grammy awards, as well as great reputation and plenty of new connections in the world of music.

The next album, Marshall Mathers, haven't become so popular and was quite controversial. After recording his next album, The Eminem Show, the young artist started taking part in various cinema projects, including the movie The Eighths Mile, which was a great success and brought an Academy Award for Best Original Song. Eminem is the only King of Hip Hop who has sold over 100 million records around the world. He keeps on writing new songs thinking that he has something more to say to modern young people. In 2017, his new album, Revival was released and rise to the top positions of Billboard Charts. He is also among the best selling musical artists in the world. He has received 15 Grammy Awards and wrote an autobiography book. He has 2 adopted children and loves playing drums.
