How old is Ben Affleck?

Ben Affleck, born Benjamin Géza Affleck-Boldt in 1972 in California, is a celebrated American actor, filmmaker, and screenwriter. His acting career began at the age of nine when he appeared in the youth-focused TV series The Dark End of the Street. From early on, he was inseparable from his childhood friend Matt Damon with whom he shared the dream of becoming a successful actor. Affleck’s first notable film role came in Dazed and Confused (1993) with Milla Jovovich, followed by a breakthrough in Good Will Hunting (1997), co-written with Damon, which earned the duo international recognition and an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.

He went on to star in blockbuster films such as Armageddon (with Bruce Willis and Liv Tyler), The Sum of All Fears (with Morgan Freeman), Pearl Harbour (with Kate Beckinsale), and Daredevil. His first movie as a director, Gone Baby Gone, was released in 2008 and had very good critics. His notable later works as an actor include The Town, Argo (with Bryan Cranston), the latter winning the Academy Award for Best Picture.

Affleck’s other notable role includes playing Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Over his career, he has won one Academy Award and three Golden Globe Awards. His personal life has drawn public attention as well. He dated Gwyneth Partlow and Jennifer Lopez, after a high-profile marriage to Jennifer Garner, with whom he has three children, he reunited with Jennifer Lopez, and they got married in the mid 2022.  Beyond cinema, Ben Affleck is also known as a skilled poker player.
