How old is Pope Francis?

Pope Francis is a current Head of the Vatican City and the Catholic Church who is the one who has been serving since 2013. Born Jorge Maria Bergolio in 1936 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he became the first pope from American continent, as well as the first pop from the southern hemisphere. He spent his childhood and youth years in poverty working in a variety of jobs like a janitor, a small merchant, a bouncer, etc. Francis became a member of the local religious community in the late 1950s and a decade later he completed his education to become a Catholic priest. His charisma and natural talent to influence and persuade people helped him to become first provincial superior, and then the archbishop of Buenos Aires. In 199 he received the title of a cardinal, and in the early 2000s he became one of the leaders of Argentinean Catholic Church which was living pretty hard times. In 2013 he was elected the Pope and took the name Pope Francis. During his years in service he has been following the policies of traditional Catholic values however has made some modifications and cessations as to the origination of women and allowing some access to Catholicism to the members of various less traditional social groups. He is a great supporter of Latin communities and did a lot aid establishing good relationships between the nations of the world. At the same time, he remains a critic to capitalism and the existing economic systems of some countries.
