Jeff Daniels is a famous American actor, comedian, singer, and writer, known for his amazing duo with Jim Carrey in the comedy series Dumb and Dumber. He was born in 1955 in Georgia but grew up in Michigan, where he graduated from Eastern Michigan University drama school. He began his career on theater stages (including Broadway), and his cinema debut took place in 1981 with the movie "Ragtime". The next movie he played was Terms of Endearment (with Shirley MacLaine and Jack Nicholson), which made Jeff famous, and the next movie The Purple Rose of Cairo by Woody Allen brought Daniels Golden Globe Award nomination. Jeff Daniels has won two Emmy Awards, one of which he won for his role in TV series The Newsroom which was aired in 2012-2014. Recently, he can be seen in miniseries Godless and The Looming Tower.
