Amelia Dimoldenberg is a British journalist, presenter, comedian, and writer who is now also a YouTube star known as a creator of Chicken Shop Date online show. She was born in 1994 in London and spent her childhood there alongside her parents and her sister. After finishing St Marylebone School she studied art, fashion communication and design in Central Saint Martins and received her degree in 2017. She first went online on her YouTube channel in the mid 2010, and the idea about making a show about funny situations while dating appeared in her mind at about that time. Eventually she launched Chicken Shop Date series in 2014 which included 40 minute episodes of her calling various celebrities like Ed Sheeran and others on a date in any random fried chicken restaurant and exposing them to various awkward situations, dry wit humor, or typical British jokes. The show was quite popular and later on turned into a podcast. In 2021 the show won a Steamy Award for Best Indie series. Besides the very show, Amelia Dimoldenberg takes part in various television projects and writes some short stories. She is an Ambassador of a few commercial brands like Levi's or Olay.
